I found this cheese knife set a bit disappointing. I used it to cut three different types of cheeses - gouda, havarti, and cheddar. I had a lot of issues cutting the cheeses. The weight balance is not optimal, my hands started to fatigue and cramp, b/c the knives provided poor leverage and did not cut through well. Even though I washed off the knives before use, they left a silver residue on the cheese discoloring them - yecch. To top it all off, they rusted at certain spots after I washed them. I do like the drawer feature so I can hide them out of sight and just use the cutting board. I will probably have them sharpened and repurposed for something other than cheese.

I love my cheese board - I keep it oiled with olive oil. I bought several as gifts and they were very well received. The whole thing is of the highest quality.

I originally purchased 2 for gifts. When I received them, I fell in love and purchased 4 more to give as gifts to friends. The knives are surprisingly light-weight and I just love the hidden drawer under the cutting board: no need to search for the cheese knives; they are handily available. The board has a beautiful finish and is durable. Everyone loved them and I kept one for myself!

Ok knives. Cutting board is quite nice. Knives are of only average quality. Seem a little dull for brand new, but seem durable enough.

My husband is a cheese fanatic. Every day after work, out comes the cheese board, and he snacks on cheese, olives, crackers, and wine while somebody (me, him, or the pizza delivery guy) is getting dinner on the table. How perfect that he should have a board, complete with knives, dedicated to this evening ritual.
This board is big (12.75x15.75x1.75) and sturdy. The bamboo surface is smooth. The knives each have their own dedicated spot in the pull-out drawer. The knife with the pointed tip is for breaking off chunks of hard cheese, such as parmesan. The angled knife is for "regular" cheese, and the slotted knife is for soft cheeses. All work quite well, and are sharp and properly shaped for their respective jobs.
The only slightly awkward bit is that the drawer takes a little getting used to. It must either be pushed from the back, or one must reach underneath to get it started. The drawer must be almost all the way open to retrieve the knives. Sometimes it thinks about not opening until I convince it that it will. However, this is a minor complaint, and partially rectified by just getting used to how it operates. There are handy little magnets that keep the drawer in its proper place so its not sliding out whenever you move the board (a definite plus).
This is a nice looking very functional cutting board. Suitable for kitchen use, but nice enough to serve from.
Bamboo is a fantastic wood (sustainable, hard, lovely to look at).
This would make a great gift for a wedding, shower, birthday, or for yourself!
